DC Art All Night (AAN) is a free annual arts festival that brings together local artists and businesses to celebrate the robust offerings of Washington, DC. 2021 is the inaugural year of participation for the Georgetown neighborhood.

Please join us! This event is 100% free, but by RSVPing you will:

  1. Help us help you stay informed of potential event updates (such as public health mandates or schedule changes)

  2. Help us get a sense of how many attendees to expect and help safely manage the flow of people

  3. Know when free tickets for limited capacity events will go "live" in mid-September.

HEALTH & SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Georgetown Main Street and the District of Columbia are first and foremost committed to ensuring the safety of our artists, performers, small businesses, attendees and volunteers. We will strictly adhere to the current regulations as outlined by DC Health, requiring mandatory mask wearing before entering indoor venues. Additionally, each participating location may have requirements above and beyond DC's guidance, those requirements (such as proof of vaccination) will be clearly marked on event publications.

We will keep our community informed if, and when, advisory updates occur.

GETTING TO GEORGETOWN

Georgetown can most easily be accessed via the Foggy Bottom Metro Station (Blue Line) and the DC Circulator. From Foggy Bottom Metro Station head north on 23rd Street to Washington Circle Park. The DC Circulator stop is located at the East point of the Circle at the intersection of K Street and 24th Street NW. The stop is marked by a circulator flag. Buses arrive about every 10 minutes. Board the Circulator marked Wisconsin Ave/P St. on the Georgetown - Union Station route. Disembark at the Wisconsin and M Street stop or any stop north until Q Street NW. Walk north on Wisconsin to activations beginning at 1353 Wisconsin Ave.

Parking is more widely available north of S Street along Wisconsin Avenue. To find a parking garage or a spot to lock up your bike, visit the Georgetown BID's website here.

We encourage that you use ridesharing. Map to 1670 Wisconsin Avenue NW and visit the Welcome Center at the base of Book Hill park to get started.

GEORGETOWN ART ALL NIGHT

ACTIVATION SCHEDULE

Addison/Ripley Fine Art

1670 Wisconsin Ave NW

Capacity: 20 in gallery

DESCRIPTION

Begun by partners Sylvia Ripley and Christopher Addison in 1981 in a large, historic carriage house in Dupont Circle, the gallery expanded to its present location on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown in 2002. During its 40 continuous years in business, the gallery has exhibited local, national and international talent, shepherding emerging artists and highlighting established ones. Exhibitions of prints, photographs, sculpture and painting have been mounted in the gallerys spaces. The present Georgetown location brings principal, Christopher Addison, back to his childhood neighborhood. The building the gallery is presently housed in was first a business sewing and making uniforms, then a Russian Ballet Studio, then an Asian Antiques shop, with dark, velvet curtains in the windows, after that, for decades, it was a design studio and finally, it was a real estate office before the gallery moved in. Reputedly, during the 1960s, an illegal gambling business was run out of the basement. That claim is made more substantial with the more than 100, now disconnected, phone lines coming into the buildin
